Request for The Higher Call for Jails, Prisons, Transitional Housing and other organizations who help inmates and ex-inmates
Earlene Leming pioneered Aglow Prison Ministry in California, traveling to minister to women in jails, prisons and transitional housing for almost 40 years. Her stories of overcoming adversity and the many miracles she has witnessed (including her own healing from advanced cancer) have inspired many over the years.
With the help of Allison Bown, this small book encourages the reader that every hardship we face has the potential to be a relational encounter with God that transforms us.
It is filled not only with Earlene’s personal encounters and scriptural encouragements, but that of several former inmates who have walked with the Lord in prison and now outside of prison for many years.
The book is beautifully, yet simply written so that it is an enjoyable reading experience for all.
It is our dream to see The Higher Call given to chaplains, volunteers and anyone who serves women (or men) in jails, prisons, transitional housing after release… anywhere people need encouragement that God sees, cares deeply and that the hardships of today can become a step up to a new life with Him.
